David Chérix - Bass
After playing for a few years with Miles Davis…!???
Oh no, sorry, wasn't him…When he was a child, David preferred football (soccer) to music (what a strange idea!). It's only pretty late that he realised the marvellous and almost mystic power of the bass.
Self-taught, he started playing in bars around where he lived before really knowing how to play…Which was a good way of learning, but it also made him realise that finding a teacher might not be a bad idea…(he has, since, warn out several teachers and is still taking lessons today.
His many experiences have taking him through rock, funk, folk, pop and even jazz. He plays a Warwick bass ("thumb" model, 5 strings) with DR strings.
Apart from the Madogs, David also enjoys playing with music lovers and professional musicians and regularly plays with the Sam Seale Band
