Biography

It's by the side of Lake Geneva that the Madogs were born in spring 2000. At that time, after the end of there former band "Seven Colours", Pascal and Daniel decided to put together a new band, in which they would have the opportunity to do the music they had at their fingertips. But to achieve it, they still had to find a rhythm section sharing their motivation.

As they started talking about it around them, they found out that David was a bass player, and asked Juan, who had already played with them as a member of the Seven Colours, if he would like to join them.

Now that the team was complete, they still had to find a name! After many thoughts and a cold mountain summer night, the name Madogs is chosen.

In October of that year, the first official show of the band takes place in a small festival called Rocktober. The end of that year and the first half of 2001 are pretty busy, with shows and the recording of their debut single. All that is too much for Juan, who decides to quit the band after the recording.

Very fast, Martin joins the band, with his reggae and jazz influences, which gives a brand new colour to the music of the band. And just one week later, the band is back on the road to promote the single "the bend. For the next two years, the band will be travelling a lot and getting a lot of experience and a cohesion which gives a new dimension to their music.

In February 2003, they are ready to go back to the studio to record their first full length record. That's when Daniel decides to leave the band. So Pascal, David and Martin will record the album as a trio, inviting talented musicians to come and express themselves on the record.

In January 2004, the album is released, and the band is joined by a new guitar player, Alexis, for their live shows. But six months later, Alexis will leave the band to continue his studies of jazz.

The Madogs decide to try a few shows as a trio, which turns out to be a very good solution, with a new contagious energy, which gives their live performances a new strength. Now that the band is stable again, new shows are scheduled and new songs are written.

By the middle of 2005, 10 new songs are ready, but Pascal, David and Martin think it would be good to have a second guitar player in the band, to make the new songs richer. In august, David's cousin, Giul, is chosen to join the band. His energy and natural talent for entertainment give the band a brand new dimension on stage.

The Madogs are currently working on the new songs, and will enter the studio by the end of the year to record their new album...
